The top 10 British Actress movies
Score: 7/10
Director: Isabel Coixet
Stars: Sophie Turner, Claire Forlani, Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
Synopsis: A teen aged girl finds her perfect life upended when she’s stalked by a mysterious doppelganger who has her eyes on assuming her identity.
Review: Fey ( Sophie Turner ) is a young teen aged girl in high school loves photography and theater arts. Fey’s father is ill and she is afraid that he may die. Fey is not happy with her mother at all which distinctly shows what her personality is like. She gets chosen for a part as a Queen in her school play and one of the girls are jealous of her. Fey gets into fights at school which cause her parents to be concerned about her.
Seeing Sophie Turner in a high school makes you wonder if Sansa Stark from Game of Thrones was in our modern world, would she be this character in this movie? Friends, school plays, uneven relationship with her mother, and her father is sick. I cant help but have that thought in the back of my mind as I watched this film. Sansa Stark going to a modern school. Its like she is having a mental break down. The things she does at school makes you wonder about her psychological health. She thinks that some one is following and impersonating her. She tries to change her own appearance in order to maintain her own unique identity. She wonders if the person following her is a ghost from her past trying to take her life from her
Claire Forlani does a good job as the mother Ann. She has a husband who is sick and she has needs that her husband cannot satisfy, so her faithfulness to her husband is in question. This causes a major disruption between her daughter and her self. Claire Forlani is really good at what she does. I particularly like her work the Starz TV series Camelot as the lady Igraine. She plays a mother in that show as well. Claire Forlani and Sophie Turner are two excellent actresses and the two make this movie work. They are the best part of this whole film and their hard work is really appreciated.
We have a ghost film here and not a bad one. If your into the whole ghost thing this movie is decent. It is a very artistic film that looks really good. The cinematography is great. The whole movie is wonderfully paced and the music is fitted perfectly to the scenes, its really well done. The film has great lighting and use of color to invoke a strong mood in certain parts of the film to coincide with the character’s feelings. I really liked that. Not bad at all.
