The top 10 British Actress movies
Welcome to the top five best films of 2018. Thank you all for being here with me as I review all of these films. I try to review one film a week and so far it’s working. This seems to be the year of the dying franchise. Some studios don’t know when to quit and Marvel is kicking everyone’s butt. From the hilarious “Dark Universe” with Tom Cruise or the, hanging by a thread just because of Wonder Woman DCEU, this year was kind of sad to see studios not listen to their fanbase and hiring all the wrong directors. Here are the top five movies of 2018 and a few dishonorable mentions.
This was impressive bad. Letting dinosaurs roam free in a world that they have not adapted to is the same as letting them die. Even the flying dinosaurs are flying across the sea like they are not going to get tired and fall out of the sky and drown in the sea below. I understand that the dinosaurs are the starting point for birds but these dinosaurs in this film are not birds. It’s just more Hollywood BS and not even the good kind of bull like a space movie with great effects.
Fantastic Beasts the Crimes of Grindelwald is one of the Worst pieces of crap I ever had the displeasure of seeing. The sad part is that so many people knew it was going to suck. Johnny Depp’s career is over. He is so sedate like he is on medication while acting. The writing was so boring. Instead of showing us Newt Scamander in America, which gets the story on it way, we get to sit through very long diatribes of exposition about immigration issues, really! The last film was not like that! The characters talk to damn much. The last film was basically Pokémon the wizarding world edition but at least it was fun to watch, even if it was meant for kids, there was at least an audience who would watch this. The crimes of Grindelwald is more like a crime to cinema and humanity for casting this garbage on us. What a potent piece of crap.
Nothing is Worst than the DCEU. Take note; if any of you want to be successful in Hollywood, your first step is to stay the hell away from Zack Snyder. Think about that and look at what he has done to the DCEU and most, if not all of you will agree. The best thing that can happen to a movie is not having this man anywhere near your film. The worst thing that can happen to a film is having this guy have anything to do with your film. He knows how to sell studios on horrible ideas that sink a franchise like no other person on the planet can. Batman V Superman is still the absolute Worst movie I have ever seen in my entire life and it would be a great relief to me to find something Worst. No matter how many bad movies I watch, nothing tops this undisputed king crap.
Haters be damned! We hardcore Tomb Raider fans loved this movie. To be fair this film is for the fans and not really for anyone else. For other people, the sequences of events are too convenient. Things like, Lara is in a river than there just happened to be a crashed airplane so she can grab onto it, then she finds a parachute, things like that. For us fans this is a live action cut scene of what we have been seeing for so many years in our video games. If you didn’t like it, it’s perfectly understandable.
One of the worst parts about the Last Jedi Hate is that people tend to look over the flaws and the greatness of this film. This film is completely unnecessary and would have been better off not made but it is a fun film to watch. The problems with this film is that there are way too many characters who have not been develop, too many red shirt characters who get killed, and too many completely unnecessary explanations to events in the original trilogy. Over all its just a competent film that looks very high quality, all though I would have preferred if director Ron Howard used less smoke in the film.
It’s a strange film that tries its best to fit into this real world with issues such as slavery and oppression but it just doesn’t make any sense. What it does it does very well. We get to see another coulter and explore the powers of the Black Panther. I like the film but the Wakandans are ---holes for keeping this technology to themselves and allowing the rest of the continent to be enslaved. Still an entertaining film.
The movie breaks the mold of the villain being the polar opposite of the hero. This was a point of criticism for Marvel’s films. The story is complex, but in a funny way. I like how there are some serious parts and some funny parts to the film. It seems like this movie is its own brand of comedy because things and people can shrink and grow. It’s a light hearted film.
Yes a lot of you knew this was coming. Thanos like Marvel just walks into Hollywood, snaps his fingers, and makes over a billion dollars in the world wide box office. The movie was good and I see a lot of critics don’t want to admit that this movie is better than most. I think it’s the whole ”Comic Book Movie” thing. The rest of Hollywood hates these films. Hollywood in truly offended by this film, just like politics, and just like the Star Wars franchise after the superb film The Last Jedi, fan bases are divided everywhere. To be fair this film had years of set up unlike most other movies. The number one thing for film makers to take away from this movie is to listen to your fan base and understand what it is your fans are willing to pay to see. Too many other studios just don’t get that idea across their heads. Luckily for us Marvel knows what they are doing. This is the best event film of the year.
There were of course other movies I have seen of 2018 but some of them are really not that interesting. Deadpool 2 was OK, Annihilation was weird, A Quite Place left me with lots of unanswered questions, etc… I know a lot of you are going to ask about other films, but I just don’t feel strongly about them. Most of the other films are more the same than they are different. This year was a rocky one for Hollywood. There are some very serious changes to how movies are made and leave us with the question if certain franchises will survive. I’m very sure many of you don’t agree with my list, its fine, we all have our opinions. Thank you so much for reading this article and hopefully 2019 will be a better year for movies!
