Margaret

Lena Headey

This film shows us Lena Headey’s early days of acting. She has done better in other films. She does not do much here, although she does a decent job. This is one of her first TV appearances and she has gotten better at acting with time and experience.

The film focuses on the ideas of society. Here our main protagonist is pretty much forced into doing something she does not want to do. You can’t really call that living. This film is more of a period piece showing us what it was like for a young lady born to a decent house hold. This movie was originally part of the “Screen Two” Drama TV Series (1985–2002), season 9 episode 1, “The Clothes in the Wardrobe”. It was repackaged and sold as a movie by BBC.

Passable

Film

The cinematography is just average for the time. The lighting, set dressing, backgrounds, and wardrobe are all average for the time as well. The movie is not spectacular in any sense at all. It’s more like something to have on in the background just to kill the monotony as you do your home work. It’s slow, very slow. The redeeming quality of this film is the acting performance of these actresses. If you’re looking for a really intriguing story, look elsewhere. This film is just barley average.
