The top 10 British Actress movies
Score: 5/10
Director: Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen.
Stars: Emma Watson, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Dannay MacBride, Craig Robinson.
Synopsis: While enjoying a party at James Franco’s house, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, and many more real life celebrities are faced with the Biblical Apocalypse.
Review: James Franco has a party at his house. As all of the celebrities enjoy the party, the world around them starts to change. People are levitated into the sky by a blue beam of light. Earth quakes ensue across the whole land and the sky changes color. As everyone stays indoors, the crew learns that the Biblical Apocalypse is actually happening to them.
All of the actresses and actors play themselves in this movie, so Emma Watson is being Emma Watson. Emma of course is being the crazy Aries she really is, swinging an axe around like crazy in order to defend herself. She is the only reason to watch this film if your not into slap stick comedy. She seems like she does not belong in this movie at all.
This is usually the part where I talk about some deeper philosophical concept but all I can think about is ’what the hell did I just watch?’ how in the world these guys have careers in Hollywood is beyond me. Except James Franco. The Disaster Artist (2017) was great. So the film focuses on the concept of virtue. Like the TV show The Good Place, if your are being good on earth than you can go to heaven, if not than you stay on earth and suffer. Maybe you would even go to the bad place more than likely. The film gives each character an ethical dilemma. If each character completes the challenge of virtue, than they get to go to the good place.
This is by no means a family movie at all! So don’t do it! Trust me, this is more of a ‘guy’ film with all the ‘male anatomy’ talk. There is some very juvenile dialog all through out this whole movie. The stuff these guys where saying was almost pornographic. I’m not repeating it here. The cinematography is just fine. The color, lighting, set dressing, and backgrounds all work well in this film. I’m a bit surprised that a classy person like Emma Watson would play in such a trashy comedy like this. I bet James Franco talked her into it, I don’t know. This is more of a fantasy film than reality. The movie has one plot twist after another. You really can’t guess where the film is going. Watch this film if your absolutely bored and don’t want to sit in silence. The movie is passable only because of Emma Watson’s performance.
