The top 10 British Actress movies
Score: 8/10
Director: Alfonso Cuarón
Stars: Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Richard Harris, David Thewlis.
Synopsis: The third movie in the series based on the novels by J.K. Rowling. This is Harry’s third year at Hogwarts and he has a new Defense teacher, but there is also trouble brewing. A convicted murderer named Sirius Black has just escaped from prison and is coming after Harry.
Review: So after his parents are insulted, Harry performs magic outside of Hogwarts and runs away from home with nowhere to go. Let’s face it, Harry is an almost all powerful wizard, does he really need parents? I mean seriously, he can turn a human being into a living balloon that can float away off into the sky! The fact that he can even do something like that!? Of coarse this sets Harry on his newest adventure. Harry must face his fears in this movie. He trains in how to defend himself against the dark arts in order to over come his enemy Sirius Black. He feels that he must become a stronger wizard and a stronger person in order to defeat Black. This training by Professor Remus Lupin (David Thewlis) is not easy, in fact its the hardest training Harry has had so far. He has to work out his issues and face his inner demons to complete his lessons.
So in general this movie is about a convicted murderer who escaped from prison and is out to kill Harry, Wow! That’s dark for a kids movie! Really? Why would some one come up with a movie with a synopsis like that? Of course there are many twists and turns through out this film. Ron shares my fear of spiders. I feel for you Ron but stay strong and don’t let those spiders bully you around! This movie takes some turns the previous films have not. The film explores new powers and abilities that the characters have and learn. It also appears Hermione has some abilities of her own that we learn about.
Snape’s attitude is just getting worse by the movie. He acts more like a bad guy but with good intentions. He is always popping up from the shadows like some creepy stalker. I think he might need medication or a hug? I don’t know, he just seems like he has some kind of social disorder that seriously needs to be addressed. Why the heck does Dumbledore have this fool around the kids? I have no idea. Let alone teaching them? But seriously though, a lot people who work at Hogwarts are not screened properly to work at this school. They have some really dark secrets and intents. I am convinced Draco Malfoy is a cautionary tale of why harsh anti psychotic mental health medication should exist. I know that was rough for me to say but this guy is just falling apart seriously. He is progressively getting worse movie after movie!
This film is actually alright. The cinematography is good. The musical score is fitting. Another film for the kids. Not bad at all.
