Imagine Me & You

Lena Headey

Synopsis: A newlywed bride becomes infatuated with someone else while she is married.

Review: Rachel ( Piper Perabo ) is a newlywed who is considering cheating on her husband immediately after getting married. Luce a florist ( Lena Headey ) is also considering helping Rachel cheat on her husband and causes the family to break up.

Lena Headey as Luce.

Lena Headey

You can see it in Lena Headey’s eyes that she does not have any onset chemistry with her co-star and it shows throughout the film. It’s also very obvious that Lena Headey is uncomfortable playing this role no matter what she says. Her acting is also very stiff and wooden compared to how she goes all out as the character Queen Cersei in Game of Thrones. In that TV show she puts all of her emotions into the role and plays the character very well.

So films like this make LGBTQ people look like a bunch of wild animals that will screw anything that moves and worst yet, we get a stereotype of gay people rather than who gay people really are. Hollywood really does have a critical representation problem when it comes to the LGBTQ community. The movie industry has plenty of gay people in it but Hollywood insists on having straight actors play gay roles in the worst way possible. It just makes everything worse.

Film

The cinematography is well done. The color is washed out at times, especially during the floral scenes where flowers are supposed to be colorful. The backgrounds, set dressing and wardrobe are all well done. This is one of the most unethical and irresponsible films I ever had the displeasure of watching and I hope young people don’t follow this steaming hot fresh heap of bull or they will ruin their reputation. This film is also a great example of the entitlement mentality. The crap film The book of love (2017) is just as bad. I have to say the past few movies of Lena Headey I have reviewed are really not that great. Lena Headey films are either average or horrible, with the exception of the film 300 (2006). So far it looks like Game of Thrones is all Lena Headey really has going for her. I tried my best to give this film a fair shake since Lena Headey is one of my favorite actresses, so I would be just a bit bias in her favor, but this film does not accomplish anything but make a fool out of gay people. This movie is just average due to the overall cinematic experience. Watch anything else but this and if you’re into this kind of film watch Atomic Blonde (2017) instead. That film has some real problems but at least the acting is way better than is B-movie swill.
