The top 10 British Actress movies
Score: 8/10
Director: Bryan Singer
Stars: Sophie Turner, James McAvoy, Oscar Isaac, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult
Synopsis: Worshiped as a god since the dawn of man, Apocalypse was the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-men universe. His goal is to cleanse the world and establish his own new world order, over which he will reign.
Review: The top two greatest male actors James McAvoy and Oscar Isaac are in this film. I can’t decide which Actor is better, Split (2016) was awesome but so was the other stuff Oscar Isaac played in like Ex Machina (2015). I find a lot of Apocalypse behavior unintentionally hilarious. Can you suck knowledge out of a TV set? Does TV have any knowledge worth learning from? Was he impressed by music videos of the time? Did the sitcoms make him angry? Is that why he decided to kill us all?
There is a lot happening in this film and I have to say Quicksilver is awesome. I like how Sophie Turner’s character (Jean Grey) has an attitude of “Note Impressed” in this film. She’s apart of the team and not the damsel in distress. I find that refreshing since every woman I have ever met in real life knows how to get things done and be apart of a team and not be completely helpless like in the horror films. Silliness. With films like that you can tell who is going to die just from the first frame.
I’m seriously reminded of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Destroying the old world and creating a new one from a major engineered catastrophe. It seems to be a ongoing theme with Marvel’s movies but hey, the CGI is truly amazing. These are some great graphics in this film. That kind of story does do the CGI justice though. There is a lot of action happening constantly through the film, which I find good. I really don’t like how other films are anemic for the first hour and then crams all the action into the last 30 minutes. That is not the case with this movie.
If you want tons of action this film is for you. A big budget Hollywood action blockbuster. Bang for your bucks. Not bad at all.
